Code:
Mar 28 08:28:01 localhost kernel: [ 1042.691474] 0000:24:00.0: IOMMU mapping error in map_sg (io-pages: 2)
Mar 28 08:22:36 localhost kernel: [  718.014440] r8169 0000:25:00.0: AMD-Vi: Event logged [IO_PAGE_FAULT domain=0x000d address=0x00000000ffeff014 flags=0x0020]
Mar 28 08:22:36 localhost kernel: [  718.014450] r8169 0000:25:00.0: AMD-Vi: Event logged [IO_PAGE_FAULT domain=0x000d address=0x00000000ffeff018 flags=0x0020]
Mar 28 08:22:36 localhost kernel: [  718.172897] amd_iommu_report_page_fault: 12 callbacks suppressed

I am randomly getting a lot of these messages. I noticed also my wifi card lost connection. It also causes my hard drive to remount into read only mode. A reboot fixes everything. Could a wifi card hardware issue cause this?

On a new AMD build with all new hardware

What exactly you use IOMMU for?

I was going to set up KVM and some guests. But this system is so unstable I have yet to do so. I didn't realize it, but I guess the IOMMU is only for virtualization.

IOMMU is only for direct hardware access - if you want your virtual machines to have exclusive access to a piece of PCI hardware, like network or graphics card. IOMMU has overhead, some tests have shown significant increase in CPU usage when IOMMU is used.
If your virtual machines do not need PCI passthrough then you could turn off IOMMU and see if your problem goes away. This is probably only a workaround, having those errors hint there may be a hardware issue.
