I am in the process of reinstalling Gentoo from scratch. I am following this guide on the Wiki. However, when I reach the point where I need to generate the grub.cfg, and I run grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg, nothing happens.

Is there a reason for this? How do I solve this problem? I followed this guide before, and this problem did not occur.

EDIT: Following this thread, I managed to make it work.
From the live CD, as user root, I run:
Code:

root@ubuntu:/mnt/gentoo# mkdir -p /mnt/gentoo/hostrun
root@ubuntu:/mnt/gentoo# mount --bind /run /mnt/gentoo/hostrun/

Then I chrooted as usual, and run:
Code:

(chroot) ubuntu / # mkdir /run/lvm
(chroot) ubuntu / # mount --bind /hostrun/lvm /run/lvm
(chroot) ubuntu / # grub-install --modules="linux crypto search_fs_uuid luks lvm" --recheck --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot
