I've been trying to install gnumeric, and the compile fails with:

Code:

Edit: Now I'm at a loss. I can download these files with wget as root or portage, but I still get the same errors when I try to build gnumeric.

Edit: I still have no idea what's causing this, but I downloaded the files and patched them into the build. It seems to work normally.

------------- Disregard below ------------------

etc. Ok, no big deal, we're trying to download documents from oasis. However, when I ping oasis, I get a response like this:

Code:
PING www.oasis-open.org (172.99.100.168) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from antiddos.ghostsquadhackers.org (172.99.100.168): icmp_seq=1 ttl=252 time=13.4 ms
64 bytes from antiddos.ghostsquadhackers.org (172.99.100.168): icmp_seq=2 ttl=252 time=16.2 ms

So, now my hackles are raising. Dig gives me this response, which doesn't tell me much:

Code:

Browsing www.oasis-open.org with elinks gives me what looks like a typical web site, but obviously some of the files aren't accessible.

Can anyone give me a clue about this?

http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/xml/4.5/ent/isonum.ent appears to load for me, it looks like some sort of unicode definition file

I can get it now as well. Do you get the same result (ghostsquadhackers) from pinging the site?

yeah, looks like it might be some sort of CDN. odd name for a CDN though. :?

edit: on second thought, i'm not sure what's up.

https://www.dns.ninja/?dns=www.oasis-open.org

you would think the A name would match the PTR...

edit: the IP is allocated to rackspace under the name "Cloud Loadbalancing as a Service-LBaaS (DFW)"
