Lindsey Graham wants sanctions against Turkey now.

Gedankenexperiment 1 (think of it)
If these sanctions are as hard as against Iran, then the EU cannot pay Turkey the refugee pact. Turkey would channel their 3.8 million of the syrian refugees to the islands of Greece.

Gedankenexperiment 2
The kurdish YPG forces, who guard 70t IS fighters and family, want to fight the turkish troops instead and leave these camps because all of their major cities and fertile lands are in the 30 miles wide strip that Turkey now wants to peacefully occupy with bombs and tanks. After a short time you see trucks full of weaponery coming to support the thousands of unguarded IS personal sitting lost in these camps.
They could get the idea to do something ?

Gedankenexperiment 3
Peace Spring
If we all would use the words exactly the opposite it meant before?

a pretty big nation without a state. now under attack by Turks because of the fashist Erdogan together with ISIS (or maybe not) just after your Mr President Trumpet gives a green flag. Well done USA make the Middle East great again...

Then perhaps you would be in favor of volunteering for your country's armed service and convincing your elected officials to go fight in Syria.

You strike me as one of those non Americans that fucking bitch when we get involved militarily, and fucking bitch when we do not. Just a case of penis envy.

that does not work like that. since my country is in NATO and still under Russian influence we are currently disarmed. i could take take some weapon and go to Syria to fight but that would mean i would have to leave my family. In this case the Swiss principle is better. Local militia.

That would have been a phantastic idea!
Really!
Give it a try with an UN peace force mission in northern Syria on the border to Turkey!

I am not willing anything. I am just saying that Trumpet is puppet that makes people think USA is the police of the world. And also savior of the universe. Just based on what i read in this forums...

When I was getting deployment orders to Iraq, all I ever read about on this forum was about how the U.S. is the world police. There's a reason why Team America has that as it's subtitle.

Overdue! But why does the "EU Peace Project" not want this?
Why are the sanctions still not there? At the latest after the Turkish annexation of the Syrian area around Afrin?

And for this piece of human shit Lindsey Graham, Tulsi nailed it:

Quote:
The Kurds are just another casualty of this regime change war which is supported by war-mongering Republicans, Democrats, and corporate media.
The hypocrisy of war-mongers like Nikki Haley, Senator Graham & others who have demanded that we continue our regime change war in Syria, who are now crying crocodile tears for the Kurds, is nauseating. Starving the Syrian people through draconian sanctions strengthening terrorists like AQ and ISIS, wasting billions of dollars, creating a refugee crisis, & now this impending genocide & ethnic cleansing of the Kurds — the warmongers consider these costs to be a small price to pay in their effort to change the Syrian regime.

Quote:

There are not nearly as many Syrians in Turkey anymore. Serious estimates, it is probably only about 1 million left.
Now the EU will have to pay the price for, that many EU countries have more than supported the asymmetric attack on Syria to force a regime change.
Schiller: Das eben ist der Fluch der bösen Tat, Daß sie, fortzeugend, immer Böses muß gebären.

They could get the idea to do something ?

Then just anotther rebranding takes place, its not the first for them. The Western media will then they name as FSA "Free Syrian Army" or "moderate rebels" again.
The Kurds have been asking the EU for a year that some of these killers are being returned back to their EU homelands. But the EU does not want them to go back, even though some EU countries have helped(!) them to get to syria to fight for the cynical goal of regime change.[/quote]

Dornröschen (sleeping beauty) how long did you sleep?
Although there was this tendency before, but it was shortly after September 11, 2001.
For e.g.
Operation "Enduring Freedom" = endless war

But also in other areas:
feminism =is now the systematic discrimination of men

No. You said the US is tolerating fascism by retreating from Syria. And I said if it is that important.... go yourself. You seem very willing for American kids to die policing the world.

Trump's principal decision here was correct, but the implementation amateurish.
All that remains is for the UN(!) to issue an ultimatum to Turkey immediately withdrawing its troops, including troops in the Afrin region.
In the event of non-compliance, severe sanctions must immediately take effect. But i think the EU will not want that ...

My brother and I are having a conversation about this right now. He insists this is betrayal. I'm just not seeing the value in staying. That region's a shithole and the Kurds aren't going to change that. Why continue to invest resources?

look this is gentoo forums and not Haag tribunal. When i write something here i guess nobody will die. The soldiers were in Syria and it was not me who sent them there. What i am trying to say is that after retreat of US from Syria the crazy Turks will start a genocide on Kurds again instead of dealing with ISIS. In sum more people will die.

Good luck with the fate and life expectancy of american troopers around the world:
Smithsonian map of US military around the world

If now it is a well known fact the U.S. betrays allies ....
What does an allied personal now do when threatened by terrorist agents to help them against these foreign american forces ? This disaster of american foreign affairs in northern Syria will cost more american lifes overseas than you'd think. And makes every future war much more costly.

The U.S. Congress has to include the Trump Organisation in their impeachment inquery now. What difficulties from turkish state authorities came up recently regarding Trump hotels in Turkey ? Do hundreds of YPG fighters have to die in Syria for Trump business ?

if congress tries to impeach trump for withdrawing from a protracted armed conflict, or literally anything less than an actual crime, the US federal government is over. i'm not threatening anything... just predicting civil war. a large portion of congress would be taken into custody for treason and the mobs would literally hang them on the footsteps of the capitol building.

(@dave Sorry I pushd away your civil war issue - not am interested)
Now, if a foreign affairs decision is heavily influenced by his business in Turkey and Trump was bribed by that:
What is it good for - Impeachment ?
As I learnt about the american constitution the main point why the framers included impeachment exactly was unlawful influence foreign countries could have on the presidency.
What are we talking about ?
Are you aware of the jeopardy all the tiny U.S. military posts are now in all around the world ?

As leftist as the Kurds can be, at least they value religious freedom and equal rights. I think that we can make the region less of a 'shithole' by supporting democratic projects there through economic trade, and investiture. We also do this with Israel which I think is commendable to support for these reasons.

Iraq may be a recovering quagmire, but surely we can appreciate the benefit of having friends and allies that would allow us to have military outposts around the Black Sea, right? Especially considering the frequent disagreement we are having with Turkey. (Let Europe have the migrants. It's about time they footed the bill for a righteous cause.)

The problem is that Turkey wants to be part of NATO but also wants to not have the values of the NATO countries. We need to rein them back in.

Maybe now is a good time to give Constantinople back to the Greeks. It would certainly help them with their economic woes. Deus Vult.
