Hi All,

I managed to get my Stage 3 installed on amd64 pc. Its a Multilib systemd stage 3.

I used genkernel to build the kernel (used menuconfig to remove unnecessary modules). Using grub:2 as bootloader.

The system booted but its on read only mode. Please help.

rsnfunky,

The root filesystem is mounted read only until rootfsck runs.
When that is successful, root is remounted read write.

dmesg will probably contain some hints.
Is your /etc/fstab entry correct?
This tells rootfsck what filesystem type to check.

You need the correct tools installed to check your root filesystem.
