Hi,

So i want to try Gpu passtrough as the title says and i followed the wiki on this:
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/GPU_passthrough_with_libvirt_qemu_kvm

I'm running i7-2600k which appears to have only vtx and no vtd my question is can it work with just vtx?
Also i've rebuild the kernel with IOMMU but i don't see it enabled in dmesg does it need vtd?
Can i\should i just go straight to qemu and try it out?

VT-d (Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O) is how Intel calls its IOMMU specification (aka, it's the same thing), so yeah, you're essentially lacking support for IOMMU which is needed.
