Hello, I've just emerge @world on my Lenovo Thinkpad W520 and lost a screen. I mean that with this /etc/X11/xorg.conf and the laptop in a docking station, I've been using two external screens as well as the laptop's own screen, giving a total of three screens. After emerge @world and without changing the xorg.conf, when I start sddm, only the two external screens are used and the laptop's own screen is blank. Here is my Xorg.0.log. I can see there are EE lines in there but don't know what to do about them.

I've tried emerge @x11-module-rebuild @module-rebuild but the problem persists. I have not changed my xorg.conf. If I ctrl-alt-F2 then the console login appears on the laptop screen and the two external monitors are blank.

If I remove xorg.conf, then X starts and uses the laptop display only; not the external screens.

Also, KDE Plasma tells me it's now using software rendering.

Why does X no longer use the laptop screen?

Somehow, and I don't know how this happened, eselect opengl reverted to xorg-x11. eselect opengl set nvidia fixed it.
