I want to use sway, but after installation, sway says something about input devices errors. I tried libinput according its output, libinput list-devices gives nothing, libinput debug-events gives "Expected device added events on startup but got none. Maybe you don't have the right permissions?".

So I find the same problem https://forums.gentoo.org/posting.php?mode=newtopic&f=23&sid=a7d3f8a2d3fc956a1ac7149d3603d394. However, the solution doesn't work for me. The "rc-config show all" shows udev and udev-trigger are both started in sysinit runlevel.

Code:

Status of init scripts in runlevel "boot"
  binfmt                    [started]
  bootmisc                  [started]
  fsck                      [started]
  hostname                  [started]
  hwclock                   [started]
  keymaps                   [started]
  localmount                [started]
  loopback                  [started]
  modules                   [started]
  mtab                      [started]
  opentmpfiles-setup        [started]
  procfs                    [started]
  root                      [started]
  save-keymaps              [started]
  save-termencoding         [started]
  swap                      [started]
  sysctl                    [started]
  termencoding              [started]
  urandom                   [started]
Status of init scripts in runlevel "default"
  local                     [started]
  netmount                  [stopped]
Status of init scripts in runlevel "nonetwork"
  local                     [started]
Status of init scripts in runlevel "shutdown"
  killprocs                 [stopped]
  mount-ro                  [stopped]
  savecache                 [stopped]
Status of init scripts in runlevel "sysinit"
  cgroups                   [started]
  devfs                     [started]
  dmesg                     [started]
  kmod-static-nodes         [started]
  opentmpfiles-dev          [started]
  sysfs                     [started]
  udev                      [started]
  udev-trigger              [started]

And I used a nomultilib stage, if that can do some help.

Not clear to me. Did you mean gui-wm/sway?

Have you double checked your setup according to the wiki article?

I just checked it again and I'm sure I enabled event interface in kernel, and portageq envvar INPUT_DEVICES gives

Code:
libinput keyboard mouse

But I didn't make those configurations for xorg.

Finally, I figured out where I was wrong myself.

I checked /var/log/demsg, and found something about missing inotify. So I recompiled kernel with inotify filesystem support and everything worked as expected.
