The Linux kernel 5.6.0 has an iwlwifi bug that will prevent network connectivity. [1]

A patch is out but did not make 5.6.0.[2] This patch IS included in gentoo-sources-5.6.0. I imagine it will be in a future vanilla-sources 5.6.X once upstream releases a new version with the included fix.

Wasn't in vanilla 5.6.1 but appears to be in 5.6.2 that was released just a bit ago, nice that gentoo-sources kept ahead of the fix :)
