Hi, as the title describes.

i was excited when i know this feature, i installed dev-util/ccache, and then change the genkernel.conf like this :
Code:

KERNEL_CC="ccache gcc"
UTILS_CC="ccache gcc"
UTILS_CXX="ccache g++"

and then began the kernel compilation, it took ~4 hours to compile because it's creating the cache, normally it takes ~2.5 hours to compile.

then, i redo genkernel to see it in action, i didn't make any change to the .config file and didn't do git pull (i'm using linux sources from linus torvald git repository), the compilation took ~3 hours to compile, it's longer than without using ccache.

the output of ccache --show-stats shows that cache hit rate is only 4%.

did i do something wrong? by the way i stored the cache in a btrfs subvolume and then mount it to /ccache.
