Hey, all, I've recently installed Gentoo 1.4 on my ibook and I've had a couple problems getting power management working with the 2.4.24 kernel on my ibook.

right now i've got this situation...
When i click PMU support and just run a kernel with that option, /dev/pmu doesn't get created.

When i click PMU and Power management support for Powerbooks (specifically, the APM emulation module) and run it on my ibook, /dev/pmu gets created BUT my airport, soundcard, and ethernet device modules bork (they complain about missing apm goodness code: such as wakeup/sleep operation handling).

Is there any way around this problem? or should I just try out 2.6?

Much thanks!
