im new to gentoo and i meneged to make the system work exept one thing,
when i anable alsa in the kernel (just like shown in the ppc faq) the sytem panics on boot with this error:

Try compiling your sound card as a module, then load the module. That's what I had to do when I had a similar problem on my G4. Now I load the module 'snd_powermac' and it works well! |
