I have been trying to get Mozilla on my PPC Gentoo install for a month now! I have used 1.4, 1.5, and 1.6. All end up the same. Compile and merge go fine, but when I open them up, anything besieds clicking links, such as resizing of the window or typing in the address bar or on a form on a page, causes the whole thing to freeze. No errors in the terminal window, and I have to use a CTL+C to kill it. I am using Fluxbox window manager, 2.4.22-ben2 kernel, and have tried emerging Mozilla with and without USE="gnome" flag.

Suggestions?

thx,
Derek

Try using MozillaFirebird

Code:
# emerge mozilla-firebird

its the beta version and is fine on my x86, but im not sure how it'd go on a ppc.
