Sorry guys bit i'm stuck at start. I can't find the modules in the bugfix-10.2.8-openpic.iso cds. I can't modprobe any modules cuz first i don,t know that dhipset is in my ibook white g3 500mhz and second, i can't find net modules.



Plz help a noob

On this old iBook you could als run the usual LiveCDs. The openpic-CD are for G4s (when I remember right).

The net-modules should be compiled into the kernel. You can find out the kernel-features in /proc/config.gz (look for sungem).

For your information this OLD ibook need openpic keynel. But for the modules, i'll try it today.

Quite interesting, as I always boot the usual LiveCD on my iBook/600 -- without problems. But usually all newworld-machines with OS X >= 10.2.8 should have troubles with it (and I have Panther installed). Maybe I updated the OpenFirmware earlier...
