Try out fn+alt (release fn) + 7,8,9 and 0.
At least under X it should work if you put
Code:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier  "Keyboard0"
Driver       "keyboard"
Option "XkbModel" "Macintosh"
Option "XkbLayout" "de"
Option "XkbRules" "xfree86"
EndSection

into XF86Config-4. Note that you must release fn after pressing alt and before pressing one of the numberkeys.

I use the Apple-key as Alt Gr. But usually it is mapped to the Windows-key, as this is the same keycode.

In /usr/share/keymaps/i386/include I have a file named ibook-altgr.map. This file consists of:

Code:
# make Apple-key the AltGr
keycode 125 = AltGr

Then you can edit your /etc/rc.conf and set
Code:
EXTENDED_KEYMAPS="ibook-altgr"
This works only for the terminal.

In XFree I changed the file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/keycodes/xfree86 with the following:

Code:
84c84,85
<     <LWIN> = 115;
---
>     // Now used for Meta2 (it's the Apple-key)
>     <RALT> = 115;

After the changes you could type {,[,],} (and more characters) like on a PC-keyboard with Alt Gr (Apple) 7,8,9,0. Probably there are better ways, but it works ;-)
