I'm following all the howtos but I still can't make it boot!

All I get is decrementer exception!

However, if I boot a liveCD then type

hd:12,/boot/vmlinux

it boots!

Any ideas?

Here is my yaboot.conf
Code:

boot=/dev/hda10
device=hd:
partition=12
root=/dev/hda12
delay=5
timeout=50
install=/usr/lib/yaboot/yaboot
magicboot=/usr/lib/yaboot/ofboot

defaultos=macosx

image=/boot/vmlinux
   label=Linux
   read-only

macosx=/dev/hda9
enablecdboot
[/code]

EDIT

my kernel is 4401733 bytes in size, could it be too big? I seem to think stock yaboot can't boot kernels over 4meg, but maybe the liveCD one can? How do I fix this?

Solved it! Yaboot 1.3.11 is broken (on my g4 ibook) and 1.3.10 works perfectly.
