Okay, I've tried every way I can think of to get ALSA working on my iBook, but apparently i can't because it says there is no audio device. So, I'm thinking OSS should work, but I don't know how to get OSS working on an iBook 600. What do I need to do to get this baby singing?

You should be able to get sound using the 'PowerMac DMA sound support' option -- if compiling as a module, modprobe dmasound_pmac.
