|I found an interesting patch on the debian ppc list:
According to the author it'll let you use the external VGA out if you've got the ATI Technologies Inc Rage Mobility M3 chipset and use the 2.6 kernel sources.
Has anyone already succeeded in this? Well I haven't:
With no success I've been trying to patch different 2.6 kernels, the files that are being patched seem too different to patch with this file.
I looked more closely at the website where this patch came from and the author also posted "config kernel 2.6.0-test11-ben0" dated from the same period as the patch on that site. It seems logical that he made the patch file from this kernel. However I haven't been able to track down this kernel + patch (especially the ben0 patch to be accurate).
My plan was to patch this kernel, then copy the aty128.h and aty128fb.c to my current kernel (2.6.2-r1) and check it out.
Does anyone know where to find the ben0 patch (a certian benh patch I presume)? Or has anyone succeeded in making the vga out work with 2.6?
