I'm considering buying an apple IBook. I'll probably get the 14.1 " version and opt for 384MB of ram option. I have no experience with OS X so hopefully 933mhz plus the ram ought to be enough to run it comfortably. I'm also going get the Wireless card for it because in my view a laptop without wireless is pretty useless. I've also heard good things about apple's extended warrenty so I'll probaby include that too and I'll defiently get an Ipod too 8) .

I basicly want something portable that will do word processing, internet surfing, and play music and movies. I just wanted everyone's opinions on how good that would work. I plan to dual boot linux & mac os x. Is all the hardware supported?

Thanks!

Your Airport Extreme card is NOT supported. Tell Broadcom to release the specsheet!

But then you'll have to stick to the G3 iBooks... The G4's are not compatible with the older Airport cards.

So it seems that the best work around for a G4 Ibook is using an external USB wireless adapter. Stupid Broadcom.
