|One of the really nice things about gdm is gdmflexiserver, which allows you to log into multiple gdm session with different users. It also comes with the --xnest flag, which allows you to run the session in a nested window. A rather annoying problem is that the gdm documentation doesn't give any information on how to change the size of the nested window. Well, here's how:
Open up your gmd.conf file, which will be in /etc/X11/gdm/ unless you're doing something funky.
Line 95 should look like this:
|Xnest=/usr/X11R6/bin/Xnest -audit 0 -name Xnest |
Change it to
|Xnest=/usr/X11R6/bin/Xnest -audit 0 -name Xnest -geometry WxH |
where W is the width of the nested window, and H is the height.
Save the file, log out (if you logged in through gdm) and run /etc/init.d/xdm restart
Now when you run gdmflexiserver --xnest, your nested window should come up with the geometry in gdm.conf.
