I was wondering when you burn the disk image for the powerpc, do you have to burn it from a powerpc or can it be from an x86? reason im asking is because I have tried from two different x86's to burn the cd, and the cd will not boot in the PowerPC. It's a Power Macintosh 6500/225. Any help would be great!

oldworld mac, eh? Should be able to boot from a x86 created disk. Are you holding down the 'c' key while booting ? What program did you use to burn the CD ?

Holding down C for some odd reason won't boot the disk, which makes me disgruntled. I used Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 Basic first then Nero. It just don't work :-(

do you have access to a linux box ? if so then use cdrecord to burn the iso. There's some 'trick' to getting a good bootable cd from nero, search around the forums for more info.

how about using cdrecord from the command line:
as root:

#cdrecord dev=x,x,x -vv speed=4 <filename>

use:

#cdrecord --scanbus

to get the proper numbers to replace the xs above.
