for experiencing i've installed gentoo linux on my g3 ibook. but with the ibm-jdk i have some problems. for my java projects i use eclipse and i was shocked, that i can't import the javax.swing classes, because they don't exist in the core.jar of my java-installation. i never had problems with this before on other platforms.

where can i find the swing classes for ppc?

I don't know which forum SeJo comes from but there is no sun jdk for ppc, so you can't do that.
SeJo: Do you mean using the class/jar files from Sun's jdk?

I'm running ibm-jdk 1.4.1 on ppc and I don't have any problems importing swing. I promise you, they are there!! I have no idea what your problem could be.. What does java-config say?
