Can anyone tell me how to disable mouse-tap clicking, if it's at all possible? It's proving to be a real pain in GNOME. Thanks a bunch.

I have the same problem on a powerbook seventeen. If the pressure I'm applying to the pad varies by a little bit, it is interpreted as a click and menus start popping up.

The X/KDE GUI on the powerbook is really almost unusalbe with mouse-tap clicking on. Anyone know how to turn it off?

Add this line to /etc/rc.conf
Code:
/usr/sbin/trackpad notap

Hope this works for you!

If you want a gui you can emerge powerprefs which also lets you adjust a few other things as well.
