Hi,

I am trying to make X work on my PowerBook 15 with a Radeon Mobility 9600.

Does anybody have a working XF86Config? I don't know how to configure it manually and my attempts with xf86config haven't been successful yet. Also, I have little knowledge about the mouse (and emulating a second and third mouse button).

I would be very grateful for information on getting X work. I don't need a sophisticated window manager. Twm is doing the job for me. The only thing that would be nice to have is a graphical login manager like xdm.

Any instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards
Andreas

Xeasyconfig work almost correctly (he forgot the `"` near resolution), you can also try with http://laera.web.cs.unibo.it/albook/XF86Config-4.

Take care of XkbLayout, mine is italian.

Xeasyconfig works perfectly for me. Thank you very much for the hint!

BTW the right command for emerging is:
emerge Xeasyconf
rather than emerge Xeasyconfig

Best regards
