Hi,

I would like to burn a CD-R using Gentoo PPC 2004.0. Unfortunately, cdrecord -scanbus doesn't detect any drives. I have an AluBook 15 Superdrive.
I have the ide-scsi drivers built in my kernel. BTW the description says it isn't necessary with 2.6 kernels.
How can I make my PB burn CD-Rs?

Please help. Thanks very much in advance.

Best regards
Andreas

You can try:
Code:
 cdrecord -scanbus dev=ATAPI

Despite what cdrecord (and other various front-ends to it) may say, with 2.6 kernels you should use the ide-cd code.
The ide-scsi interface has been deprecated.
