I can't seem to switch between consoles booting from the 2004.1 rc3 livecd.
Is there some trick to this? I'm using whatever keyboard map is default
I've tried every possible key combo I could think of.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I did not try these 2004 Live CDs. Normally console switching is done with Alt+F?, where ? is replaced by the console number. Depending on the Live CD pbbuttonsd configuration, it may be necessary to press Fn+F? to get the F? key event. So the whole combo would be Alt+Fn+F?.

As far as I know, the apple hardware layer does not distinguish between the left and the right apple key. Therefore, console cycling with these keys (as with the windows keys) cannot be possible in the same manner as on x86.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I had already tried those key combinations without any luck.

I guess i'll wait to finish up this install and see how my own kernel/config does.

It seems that a combo like ctrl-option-fn-F1 or option-<left/right arrow> works fine.

Are you in X? I forgot to mention that an additional ctrl is needed here.
