I read a number of posts on setting the timezone and clock settings scattered through out the forums. I live in the Eastern United States where they practice Daylight Savings time. So, I choose EST5EDT to link /etc/localtiime too. In my re.conf clock is set to local. But, my time is 4 hours off.

On my pb G4 12", the timezone is set to EDT.

If I manually set the hwclock, date is still 4 hours fast.

What could I be missing.

Awww, now why did I not see that US was a directory? I looked for Eastern, but not US\Eastern. That fixed it right up. Thanks for the push.
