im installing from scratch and I have loaded the xorg-x11 instead of xfree86. Normally I would just run xeasyconf and use the output but unfortunately it is tied to xfree86 and cant emerge with xorg installed. Can someone please post thier config so I can use it?

Thanks,

go to http://ppcconfdb.sourceforge.net/conf/PowerBook_G4_1250MHz-15.2_Aluminium/etc/X11/XF86Config-4-15-Nov-2003 and download it. Maybe you have to change your display resolution.

Works perfekt for me.

I went there first and the config I am using is based off of it. Unfortunately it has severe flickering and such. I have a feeling that it has to do with the modeline parameters which I do not know enough about to be able to even guess at. I need someone with a xeasyconfig'd XF86-Config to post it so I can get the correct settings. I successfully got xeasyconf to run with the --nodeps option to emerge, however, it appearantly only wants to deal with XFree86 server. I guess if no one will reply i will spend the 16 hours or so to unemerge xorg-x11 and re-emerge xfree && xeasyconf; run and save the config and then reverse the process. Alot of compiling though that I was hoping to avoid by someone posting thier config parameters.
