so yeah, i finally got my imac to convert to gentoo and i haven't been happier. problem is though, granted i've had alot of problems up to this point, it hangs on boot up. i used the "tip of the week" and compiled that kernel and it finally worked. but alas it hangs on after /proc.....anyone seen this problem before?

i can add more info as people need it....i have a feeling it has to do with how all the filesystems are modulized in that set up right? or am i smoking my crack again?

Hi,

there have been similar problems on powerbooks. new kernel versions fixed this. try to use ~ppc ppc-development-sources.
