i remember a while ago
that there was a live CD that was like
the knoppix live CD-s as in, u could just
put the cd into the drive and boot up ur pretty lil' powerbook
and it would start up into a working kde and/or gnome environment.

but

i cannot seem to find that.
maybe...

its not avaliable on the 2004.1 builds
would i have to download teh old 1.4 cds?
and if so

can someone help me locate them!

:)

any ideas ???

there is a post running around about a 2004.x live cd, and it seems developement on that is stalled.

if you NEED something, there is a beta knoppix-ppc cd running around.

called knoppix-MiB-PPC-alpha-2e.iso

if you want to search for it.

A new kde-3.2.2/gnome-2.6 livecd with mol, xorg-x11, koffice-1.3.1 , openoffice-ximian.55 , tetex, mysql, apache2 ... is scheduled to appear on the mirrors soon. I'll update the www.gentoo.org webpage when it is available. I'm shooting for fathersday or sooner.

I wasn't able to find the announcement - Is the kde-gnome-universal-2004.2.iso still under development? (I noticed bye the modification date that the file was less than 12 hours old... 8O)
