nice idea - but why would you want to do that? Besides, I don't think mac-fdisk can do that. Why not take hd1 for Linux and hd2 for OSX?

here is why....

SATA Drive gets 50mb/sec
SATA setup with RAID0 gets about 200MB/sec

i like 4x the speed :)

for now im just using osx until 64bit fully supported and all is well with kernel 2.6.7

What OS are you talking about? Certainly not OS X - I tried OS X 10.3.3 with Raid0 and Raid0 was a little bit speedier than two single disks. A little bit, not more. But then - OS X is just a lame duck in my eyes ;)

Man page: http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/powerpc/mac-fdisk.txt
Howto: http://penguinppc.org/projects/yaboot/doc/mac-fdisk-basics.shtml

Since you have booted from the CD just unmount all volumes and reboot. Then eject the CD. If it does not eject, hold down the mouse button while rebooting to force the CD to eject.

hth,
disk
