hm, maybe that's a silly question: how do i get Gnome to show the battery status of my TiBook? it has an applet, but it doesn't work. there is another applet called "pmudmon" but it seems outdated? gkrellm doesn't work either.

thanks heaps,
jens

The gkrelln-pmu crashes also on my iBook, also the wireless-plugin.
But what is working is the battery-output (built in gkrellm2) and for airport the wifi-plugin.

My battery GNOME applet works fine, and so does gkrellm-pmu, so it may be a problem with your PMU system. In any case, you may want to take a look at app-laptop/xpmumon, which is pretty nice.

Oh... well I don't quite remember what was wrong back then, but after I've updated the pmud demon and edited its config it was working fine. Never tried the Gnome applet though because I think it's just ugly :-) Gkrellm2 has been working stable ever since.
