Hi guys,

I remember there was some kind of "Gentoo Live CD" for Power PCs with KDE or Gnome but I can't find it anymore. Does anyone know where I can find that CD or do I just remember wrong?

Thanks :).

Well thats not what I asked for ;). AFAIR there was a live CD (comparable to Knoppix) for Mac's with KDE etc. running directly from CD :). You gave me "just the normal" Live CD for installation :).

Why don't you do a little digging in that link, instead of being fixated on someone doing alll the work for you.

First of all I never asked you to do my work. I just kindly asked if these ISOs really exist or if my memory played a trick on me. I never asked you to do any investigation for me so please don't blame me for your own stupidity cause you did things I never asked you for :). Either you know they exists or you don't know and if you don't know its your own decission if you want to search for me or not - I defnitly won't force you to do so and in fact I didn't ask you to do so :).

Secondly the first thing I did was looking at a gentoo download mirror to find these images :). AFAIR the KDE/GNOME Live CDs were located in experimental. But they aren't there anymore. Neither in experimental nor in the "normal" releases directory tree. And thats why I asked if someone know where to find them now or if their support was canceled (or maybe if I just dreamed of their existance) :).

DrSeltsam the link I gave you was a bad link, (it worked awhile back) I do truly apologies for that.

If you still having problems finding a kde/gnome livecd
try this link (yes this one works as of Aug-4) http://www.metadistribution.org/gentoo/experimental/2004.0-rc/kdegnome-g3g4-2004.0-rc.iso
After you have booted into the cd you must enter the command - setup
Code:

#setup
