Well, just been down the path of converting my outlook express .dbx files over for use with Evolution, and found a nice little progam on sourceforge. Though I'd share it here incase anyone was looking for similar info.

The program is mbx2mbox

It will convert the outlook files to unix standard mail files ready for importing by pretty much any email program. I found a few character errors in my emails after I imported them into Evolution, but on the whole it worked very well.

Enjoy.

Ant.

Ta pjp. :)

Further, this program is a gem. Relies on ruby and ruby-gtk2 if you want the GUI (nice)

csv2vcard

Convert a csv file to a vcard. IE convert any Address book saved as a csv file to the industry standard vcard format used by many email prgrams including Evolution. Just imported my own little AddressBook spreadsheet into Evolution with no real problems at all.

I have a similar tip.
Moving everything (settings are included  ) from outlook express@windows to thunderbird@linux.

Download thunderbird for windows... install it, run it and skip the settings. Goto tools/import and import all the data you want from outlook express (I believe that this will also work for other outlooks versions)

Find the profile folder for thunderbird... it will be something like c:\windows\applicationdata\thunderbird\profiles it will probably depend on the windows version. :x
Zip your profile, its the folder named profile.something

Goto linux :D, emerge thunderbird. Run it and skip settings so it creates the .thunderbird directory and an empty profile.

Get your zipped profile and put it in ~/.thunderbird.
Erase your empty profile and rename your windows' profile with the empty profile name. Or edit profile.ini so your windows profile its the default one.

That's it.... now go and erase Windows
