Just a quick question...I wanted to mount my hfs+ mac os x partition within linux (just want access to my mp3's,videos,documents,etc,etc), I tried manually mounting it with
Code:

# mount /dev/hda10 /mnt/osx

And this mounted the drive but It only contained a few files and a ReadMe stating i would need to install os 8.1 in order to get my files. So what am I missing? Ive got hfs & hfs+ support compiled into my kernel (2.6.8-gentoo-dev) . Thanks for the help in advance.

You need to specify the filesystem type:
Code:
mount -t hfsplus /dev/hda10 /mnt/osx
