i installed portage (Gentoo, whatever) in OS X, and its great having my favorite package management system on another one of my favorite OSes, but i'm having a problem. CTRL+O doesn't do anything in nano (normally would write the file to the disk). to save a file i have to exit nano (i don't know if save as is an option). as you can see from this post the o/O key on my keyboard is functioning properly.

any ideas?

i tried a couple different things, but in the end it looks like going back to 1.2.4 solved the problem.

no one else is having any problems with nano >1.2.4 on OS X?

As a temporary solution, you could just use pico which comes installed with OSX. Pico is pretty much the same as nano, though I think it's non-free...if that matters for you.
