ok, to cut a long story short, i'm running mac os x 10.2.8 on a pm7500 with a sonnet g3 upgrade card. prior to mac os x i was running 9.1 and gentoo 1.2 on this machine. I have recently gained more disk space and want to reinstall gentoo.

now for the prtoblem, bootx starts up the macos 9.1 emulation after which basically the mac crashes, and I have to reset the startup disk so the machine boots into macosx and not 9.1. I can't use yaboot, (unless you tell me i can) . does anyone have any ideas how I can boot gentoo in a simple - and short - way? ( the obvious way is to boot into 9.1, then use bootx to boot into linux, then when finished boot into 9.1 and reset the startup disk to macosx - not exactly a simple easy way)
