If I suspend my G4 550 powerbook (in X) and then wake it up, newly launched KDE apps take a loooong (1 min+ to launch konsole) time to start. If I quit X, X and then run startx, X never starts--or is taking a very long time. There is no disk activity during the delay and free reports 200MB+ of free RAM. top says the system is mostly idle. Nothing unusual in dmesg.

Console apps work fine. mol (OS 9) works fine.

If I reboot, everything is back to normal. What is getting messed up during suspend/resume?

I recently updated a lot of my system so it is really hard to narrow down what went wrong.

I have kernel 2.6.7 on a pismo powerbook daystar 550MHz G4 with 512MB ram. KDE 3.2.3 and Xorg 6.7.0-r1 are installed.
I have glibc-2.3.3.20040420 and gcc-3.3.3_pre20040408-r1 installed.

Any ideas?
