I just tried it, it fails, and then I looked to the bugtracker,

I guess its just a little # too much at the ebuild file and could be

src_unpack() {
kde_src_unpack
# Workaround problem on JFS filesystems, see bug 62510
...
instead of
src_unpack() {
# kde_src_unpack
# Workaround problem on JFS filesystems, see bug 62510
...
after the kde_src_unpack the patch could be applied, because there is then a source-tree.

The patch would be expected at /usr/portage/kde-base/kdeedu/files (if you didn't change your portage pathes).

The patch would'nt be downloaded. So I fetched it into the a.m. directory from the cvs.
( http://www.gentoo.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/kde-base/kdeedu/files/kdeedu-3.3.0-sparc.patch )

After that emerge kdeedu-3.3.0.ebuild would work and, aehm, its just compiling, I don't know if it would run....(I use an old G4 400, this methusalem needs a little bit to cross the roads..)

Cheers

Frank

I can confirm this. I am pondering on reopening the bug, may be
the developper will react fast on that one.

Well, well, this morning it just compiled without an itch! :D
So thank you devellopers!
ppc has kde3.3 before x86. Isn't it great not to fill like
a second class citizen :wink: .
