I just downloaded the PPC 2004.2 universal ISO, and it boots fine. However, I have no network access (ifconfig only returns loopback) and modprobe sungem fails.
I am connecting through a dhcp enabled router that i have never had problems with before.

What can I do to load the network card module? Is it normal that lsmod returns nothing on an ibook g4?

Appreciate any help,

To load the network from the cd you must type:

dhcpcd eth0

Are you sure that yiu put sungem as a module (<M>) and not built-in in kernel (<*>) ?
