a slow day and a bit of reading about ssh produced this simple little trick that may be of use to some folks

first let me tell you that theres a file you can create for each user it there home directory which you can have specify commands at the ssh login of the user this file is .ssh/rc

im sure if you werent awair if it it could prove usefull for other stuff but i decided to have my pc anounce a short message every time a specific user logs in. why do this well too much time may be a reason but a waring message every time a specific remote logs in could also be of use to some folks

first you need to emerge and run speechd so

Code:
 emerge speechd
/etc/init.d/speechd start

then if you want to use /dev/speech you need to add your users to the speech group with nano /etc/group

the to create the welcome/warning message
Code:
 echo "echo type your welcome/warning message here > /dev/speech" > .ssh/rc
