I have a very stupid azerty keyboard on my ibook 1.2GHz 12-inch.
Some very important keys don't work like | @# [], I've tried the be-latin1 keymap also the be-mac and also a keymap I found in the Dutch section for PPC computers named be-mac-PPC none of those work.
An other thing, I don't even see the [] symbols on my keyboard also the | seems to be missing.

I think I'll have to solve this on my own like creating my own keymap but not sure how, should I add the keycodes I get from showkeys to my keymap file and the keymap file seems very unclear to me ...
any kind help is more then welcome

i have taken the control key as alt-gr, keycode should be 125, opened my layout file and changed the modifier to this keycode. worked fine...

I'm mapping some keys in X now.
I want to map a combination of keys alt + @ = #, so I do xmodmap -e "keycode 49 = at numbersign numbersign" but that doesn't work. I know the 2nd option is for the shift combination I just didn't found out yet what's the keysym for none.
