I need a compiled version of glibc-2.3.3 to repair my Gentoo installation. Can anybody offer one?

I have one of each of the following machines: G5, G4, and G3. from which one do you want the glibc (all of them are optimized for the respective architecture so I am not sure whether they would work on another processor)?

Well, thanks... the glibc seems to be kernel specific...
I have 2.4.24 so it doesn't work.
Do you also have a glibc for Linux 2.4? It doesn't matter if it's G3 optimized or not.

Umm, no, sorry, all my machines are on 2.6 kernels. Here is a sugestion on how to obtain a binary package though: grab a suitable stage 3 and expand it in some sirectory (say, /misc/temp). Chroot into that directory as you would do for a fresh installation (mount proc (though I am not sure whether this is needed); chroot /misc/temp /bin/bash; env-update; source/etc/profile) and do a
Code:
quickpkg sys-libs/glibc
Once out of the chrooted environment you should then have the respective binary package in /misc/temp/usr/portage/packages/All (adjust the prefix /misc/temp as needed). This should work quite nicely.

Other than this I do not have any idea on how to go about it.

Hope it helps,
Stefan
