Hi everyone,

I`m using an ibook 600 Combo (running gentoo 1.4, Mac OS X.2), which has a japanese keyboard.

After getting (nearly) everything to work the way I need/want it, the last problem, which I have not figured out by now, is the correct keyboard setting to for the japanese keyboard layout.
Until now I`ve been using the the us layout (or German, when the external USB keyboard is attached).

Is there a PPC equivalent to the "jp106" keyboard layout for x86?
Could anyone give me a clue where to look/read ( or even what to do)?

Thanks for your help/tips in advance.

cheers,
johnd0e

I have a japanese ibook graphite and after numerous friutless searches I finally loaded the jp106 keymap

In console
Code:
 loadkeys jp106

then I changed my X11 config from "us" to "jp" (sorry I can't be more specific at school on a M$ machine so having to do this from memory)

And it works perfectly for me!

Hope this Helps
