After i compiled 2.6.7 Kernel with sources from ftp.kernel.org
I booted the Kernel sucessfully with yaboot, but
i got the following error when entering runlevel 3:

SIOCSIFIADDR: No such device
eth0: unknown interface: No such device

Make sure you compile the network card driver and make sure that the module gets loaded (you might need to add it to some file like /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6).
