I switched from devfs to udev since devfs is deprecated. Everything seemed to work fine at first. But for the sound, not the same drivers loaded. I used to have only dmasound_pmac and maybe 1 or 2 others loaded automatically.
Now I have several snd_* modules (that were not loaded before) and dmasound_pmac was not loaded anymore. This is what I have (after I loaded manually dmasound_pmac):

dmasound_pmac was getting loaded by my modules.conf config with:
alias /dev/mixer dmasound_pmac
device /dev/mixer does exist.
With xmms, I get:
** WARNING **: oss_open(): Failed to open audio device (/dev/sound/dsp): Permission denied
Looking at /etc/group, it seems that I have been removed from the audio group???
I am not familiar with sound stuff or devfs/udev. I know that alsa is the new stuff, not sure if I want to do that oss -> alsa transition right now.
Any info on what is happening / suggestions / information ...
