|Credit to Fernando. The original author claimed to do this with a powerbook G4.
1. Boot into Open Firmware (Command+Option+O+F).
2. Type "password"
3. After typing the password type "setenv security-mode command"
4. Type reset-all to restart your computer.
Information on what you just did.
The computer cannot be booted using a device without the password. The only way to change the password is the change the amount of RAM in the computer and then clear the PRAM three times. Strange, yes. Different from the PC BIOS.
