As a result of this bug:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73022
I am not able to build kde. I need it, how can I install? xscreensaver is not a real dependency, but it blocks me all the kde desktop emerge.

Inject the xscreensaver package by:

Code:
echo x11-misc/xscreensaver-4.16 >> /etc/portage/profile/package.provided

You have to adjust this command to the version of xscreensaver in your kde-dependencies! It is also likely that you have to create the directories by:

Code:
mkdir -p /etc/portage/profile/package

Now xscreensaver is "injected", but not installed!

I'm working on the xscreensaver bug right now, but if you emerge kde with the use flag "-xscreensaver" it should remove the dependancy.

A useful command to try before emerging packages is to type:
Code:
emerge -pvt <packagename>

This will show you exactly what emerge is going to do, along with the useflags set for each package. It also shows where a package was listed as a dependancy, which can help in situations like this.

In addition, the program ufed is extremely helpful for dealing with use flags. If you aren't already using it, you should look into using it.

If you see the bug report, I've posted a patch to solve the problem. It's caused by altivec optimization.

So I've injected the package and Installed it from the original tar.gz patched.

Thanks!
