Hi everyone!

I have been using Gentoo on my powerbook for about 3 months now and I really enjoy it. I have come to realize though that I do things the hard way. I write bash commands to do things that other programs already do, and I am starting to find a lot of those programs. So, my question is this: What are the programs that you find most useful? Command line or X11 (I use both quite frequently). Here are the ones that I have found useful:
Code:

vim (text editor), mutt (mail client), tintin++ (mud client), latex (type setting), waimea (window manager), mol (mac on linux), festival (text-to-speech), octave (maple-like math utility), links (terminal base web browser), mpg123 (command line mp3 player), bash-completion (completes commands), amixer (command line sound mixer), subversion (repository), xcruise (X based directory viewer)
That is all that I can think of for now, but I would love to hear from everyone else :)
