what problems are you having? Your machine should boot. Post some error messages and we'll figure it out

Don't put in Advanced partitioning. (somthing like that)

If you need it maybe try it as a module or somthing but when I put it is I got that error.

As long as it's not any differnt from x86 put it in the /usr/src/linux directory as file .config (rewrites the old one so back it up if you want it) and make menuconfig.

if it's during the install you need to chroot and all, or you could do it with a text editor if you can figure out what you need and where to find it from those abbreviations... lol

Hm... actually when I had this problem when first trying to install on my new G4 iBook it was because I hadn't put in advanced partitioning. This is what works for me:

Code:
Advanced partition selection (PARTITION_ADVANCED) [Y/n/?] y
  Macintosh partition map support (MAC_PARTITION) [Y/n/?] y

I've got it yesterday. Sweet piece of harware. It's my first mac, and I'm kinda disappointed by Mac OSX. Gonna trash it in favor of gentoo :)

I'm sure everyone knows it, but in case there was any doubt, the 12 inch 1.2 GHz runs linux just great. I've got sleep working, with the 2.6.9 kernel, and running fluxbox as we speak.

In the Ibook 12" wireless and VGA out are the only thing I didn't got working (and, as I know, there it's not possible yet).

This notebook is great, but it lacks linux support for the wireless card and VGA out. I hope they will get working soon (expecially the VGA out).

You didn't get modem working did you? I'll be headed to my parents house for Christmas and they have dial-up... :( I thought the modem didn't work either.

(Thanks for your config files though - they worked great!)

Kevin's link says this:

Quote:
Run the 'hcfusbconfig' script. The serial device created for the modem is /dev/ttySHCF0.

Does the usb in "hcfusbconfig" mean it's not pci? That'd be my guess
